first off, make sure your interior lights are off. and that nothing is draining.
then pour gas on it, and something to the effect of throwing a match 1/18/2007 9:03:31 AM |

do you have an aftermarket stereo with an amp? i've seen amps that are wired to always be on and that drains the battery much like an interior light left on. 1/18/2007 1:05:57 PM |

i've got aftermarket stereo but had no problems with the battery draining until it started turning cold
i don't think it has an amp

Temporary fix: If it's going to be parked for any time, pop the hood and yank the negative off the battery.
Could even put a disconnect switch inside your car.
That'll at least keep you rolling till you find your electrical demons. 1/18/2007 1:52:53 PM |

might be bad practice but on my gf's car, I just pulled all the fuses that weren't 100% necessary to run and added 1 back each night until the problem resurfaced. It was shit wiring on the part of circuit city. 1/18/2007 2:04:54 PM |

Here is a thought. If you got the alternator and battery replaced at the same time, then the battery drain could be different. Also if the battery is very new sometimes the cold makes them not hold a charge, not very common but it does happen. 1/18/2007 8:59:18 PM |
