My problem is that when recording, the playback is only coming through the left channel. I am using a dell 1505, audiobuddy preamp, and a F-V620 sony dynamic mic. My software is acid 6.0. I have tried both channel connections on the audiobuddy to no result. I tried plugging in a crappy default pc mic (without a preamp) and i have both channels working. Any relevent advice is appreciated.

You're probably recording in mono and your software is not duplicating the sounds across both stero channels. Can you manually copy the left channel to the right channel with your software?
