2 marbled geckos, $30 obo
If you need the tank, you can get that too. I also have a heat lamp available as well. I'll give you a tub of mealworms and whatever crickets I have left for free.
I'll post more pictures in my gallery. http://www.the-lizard-lounge.com/content/species/marbled-gecko.asp 1/18/2007 8:38:43 PM |

i may be interested
but why you selling? and what kind of setup did you have them in? 1/18/2007 9:08:37 PM |

because I can't keep them anymore.
They are good lizards. I've had them for awhile, they are very healthy and all. Good-natured, but prefer not to be handled much. They love crickets, and as long as they are fed they are happy.
They are in a 10 gallon tank. Kept humidity up by spraying water, and had the neat lamp on from 8am to 8pm.

how much do they normally eat?
and how much does it normally cost to feed them? 1/18/2007 10:19:25 PM |
puppy All American 8888 Posts user info edit post |
one cricket each, once a day (every other day is ok). Mealworms are okay to feed, but not everyday.
Crickets cost about $1 per dozen at most pet stores. 1/18/2007 10:41:30 PM |

male and female? rough approximation of age? 1/18/2007 11:45:06 PM |

sure, you can keep them in a 20 gallon if you want to. As long as the tank is at least 10 gallon, it doesn't matter.
Age is unknown, but I've had them since May 2006. Sex is unknown as well, but whatever it is, I think they are the same. I think female, it's hard to tell with reptiles. 1/19/2007 7:15:57 AM |

How much for everything ie tank, heat stuff, lizards? 1/19/2007 9:47:09 AM |
puppy All American 8888 Posts user info edit post |
$30 for the 2 lizards. If you want the tank, I'll let that go for $5, and the heat lamp, I won't charge you for since I really don't care to keep it. The tank will have a few coconut shells in it. Don't care for these, you can have them. Mealworms and crickets are free.
Please only offer if you seriously are going to take good care of them. I want them to go to a good home. I love them and hate to get rid of them, but have to due to housing rules. 1/19/2007 10:24:23 AM |

its actually extremely easy to tell sex with reptiles. take shots of their cloaca and post them, the more expereienced herp people will tell you their sex. 1/19/2007 5:59:14 PM |

kinda of a bad angle on the first pic
second pic i would say female, can't see a bulge for the hemi-penes (the spurs are not a bulge) and in a closer up shot you could see whether or not it has large femoral pores.
male geckos generally have large pores that form a V shape above their vent and 2 bulges at the pase of the tail where they store their hemi-penes. 1/19/2007 7:30:33 PM |

they both look the same. Sorry the 1st one was at a bad angle. Yeah, I remember seeing a website long ago that told me what you just said. That's how I determined that they were both female. Just wasn't sure. 1/19/2007 9:14:08 PM |

if you simply cannot find a place for them, i'll take them, but I really can't justify paying for more pets when I'm not supposed to have gotten the ones I bought anyways!
(the bf is still peeved that I got two fish recently, so consider our place a last choice) 1/19/2007 11:23:04 PM |

^ thanks Ambrosia! You're really sweet. but if he doesn't want you having more pets (that I don't understand, but okay... ), then I'll make that my last resort.

Cleaning is not one of my favorite activities, and he's always nagging at me for it. he laid down the law: no more animals until things are spic and span again. which i stored as 'no more cute, furry pets'1/19/2007 11:53:17 PM |

^oh, I see.
Anybody else? $35 for the whole deal. 2 geckos (female, as we've determined), a 10 gallon tank with coconut shells, a thermometer and a humidity meter, a heat lamp, and a few crickets & mealworms.
I'll be around all day Saturday, if anyone wants to come get them. PM me if interested. I'll check first thing in the morning. Good night. 1/20/2007 12:04:25 AM |
