in nutshell, swapped a 96 tahoe junkyard ecm and 5.7 into a 98 k1500 4.3, made the damn wiring harness, took 10 hours just to do that, double and triple checked every conection to the ecm pinout, harness is perfect, i know what i'm doing i just want to emphasize that.

it runs fine on ether, so the ignition and ckp is obviously fine, the ecm is grounding the injectors correctly to fire them, so apparently the cmp is also working and all the wiring is ok, which i knew it was

that leaves only a few things, either the ecm is firing the injectors in the wrong order, which is impossible, the actual injectors are not firing even though they are getting a signal, the fuel pressure regulator is stuck open ( checked to see it had pressure, fuel pump was ok with the old engine havent put a gauge on it yet), or the poppet valves are stuck. it is firing on at least two cylinders consistently, so i think i have either stuck poppet valves, fucked up injectors, or a lot of trash plugging them up, either way the next step is pulling them damn intake cover and fuel metering block

so thats how my night has gone

do those injectors have a resistor pack or anything?

off hand, i would say double and triple check your grounds. that's where i've almost always had my problem in similar situations.

it hitting on 2 cylinders throws a little loop though. get a guage on it. i'd be wary of a junkyard computer also. i wouldn;t think it could have that many failed/clogged injectors, but you never know what a motor has seen coming from a junkyard.

the wiring is fine and the computer is fine, i checked at the intake connector to verify every injector was getting a signal. on those engines, the injectors are all in the metering block inside the top of the intake with tubes the run down to poppet valves in the runners
