If you don't have a prescription, Excedrin. I've had migraines since I was six, and I can tell you that it's the only OTC medication that works.

the reason this works and i know / b/c i had some is that it makes your forehead feel like its melting off

the first time i used it i thought i was having an allergic reaction to it

burned like a bastard

This is my headache smashing combo. It's got all the key ingredients that are legal. It seems to help with migraines as well.

My wife gets migraines fairly often and she uses Excedrin and often uses a Wellpatch. As the name states its a patch you put on your forehead and she loves it.

I like excedrin migraine ... you'd think it's the same as regular excedrin but it does seem to be different. My Mom gave me some one time and I told her excedrin doesn't work but took it anyway, but after it worked she told me it was the migraine one

if I don't have that I like naproxen sodium.

Excedrin Migraine FTW

but I get the Target brand because it is cheaper

each caplet has 250mg Acetaminophen, 250mg Aspirin, and 65mg Caffeine, and the dose is 2 caplets

Acetaminophen does nothing but make my migraines worse. I don't know why.

I usually take any of the various triptans, depending on what I have a free sample of.

ill agree excedrin migraine works well. i usually have a goody's in my wallet though since i get them fairly often, if you take one of those EARLY ENOUGH it usually makes it milder or gets rid of it all togther if its not a bad one, they work WAY faster than pills too if youre in a hurry.

take two excedrin migraine or even the tension headache ones if it starts to hurt down your neck, after that take a nap if it's possible in a dark room. A warm or cool (whichever you prefer) compress will sometimes help too.

But for me I have to take something and then go to sleep for it to go away . . I actually have a bitching headache right now

if you feel the ridge right underneath your eyebrow you will find a little notch. a vein runs through that notch and supplies blood to the brain. if you press the notch hard for 5-10 mins you will release endorphins which will take the pain away. natural enorphins are stronger than morphine.

excedrin migraine.

I have had migraine problems for over 10 years now. Those are the only two things that help me.

I get headaches for the strangest reasons, I hate it
If it's about to rain, I'll get a headache (sometimes a day or two before it's supposed to rain) and it won't go away until it starts raining.
I'll get a headache if it's really bright and sunny out, like clear skies and bright sun, or if it's a clear, hot or cold, sunny day. *le sigh*

Weather changes are one of the most common causes of migraines.

when i was younger, like in elementary school and middle school (they slowly got further apart as a got older) i used to get them a LOT. i would have to come home and take something and get in bed with a cold cloth on my head. i would sleep for about 30 mins, wake up a puke twice and go back to bed for 2 hours. same thing every time without fail.

Any of the headache powders...like goodies or whatever. It's almost straight caffeine. Take it with a Dr. Pepper and it won't taste so bad. It'll knock a migraine out.

Takes care of most anything for me, but I wouldn't do this unless you weighed over 175. This is according to an emergency room nurse, and I trust her judgement.

lol mg chief not mb.....

800 is the max single dose you should take (stomach and intestinal problems increase over this) with 3200mg / day max.... not recommended to sustain this...

http://www.drugs.com/mtm/ibuprofen.html

don't mix large doses of things.... my thing is low dosage stuff so it shouldn't have any problems...

mixing ibuprofen and asprin is ok just don't expect heart benefits! ibuprofen blocks the effect...

For long-term prevention, you should try Migravent.

http://www.migravent.com/

You have to order them, though. From what I understand, the ones sold in stores are not the same mixture.

I take imitrex for mine, and it works like a charm, so long as I take it before the headache becomes full blown, like when I start seeing auras and other crazy shit. (not everyone gets those, but mine are pretty trippy)

Vitamin M is slang in the military for an 800mg Motrin horse-pill that, along with a suitable number of canteens of water, can fix nearly any ailment.
