^I like the first car, not the price. Second one has too many miles/mods. I'm thinking a Subi or Audi would be my choice...hopefully if I look around enough I can find a steal. I got my current ride, a 1997 Pathfinder, for 2k less than it was worth 2 years ago

dude i <3 VAG and i'm going to the feb fling but for that much money the WRX will be more fun and more reliable. it starts with more hp and less weight then a 1.8t and they both can be chipped but the 2.0t still ends up with more power. not to mention if mods get serious they're WAY cheaper for a wrx and there is more you can do with it.
↑ ↑ the leggy is the best but about 6-10k out of his $ range.

It's looking like a 2002-2003 WRX or Legacy GT for me. Various factors include how much it's going to cost me in insurance, how comfortable the ride is for long distances, the gas milage, and the cost of common repairs. That, and I need a lot more practice driving a stick before I buy one! 1/23/2007 11:33:59 AM |

In my opinion (I know others won't agree with some of this):
Performance: Stock for stock the Legacy GT has more hp. But take into consideration that the WRX is much ligther. If you decide to mod it, the WRX has more mod-able. Comfort: Legacy GT will definately be more comfortable. Gas Milage: WRX has the 2.0 liter, less gas. Insurance: Not sure. I pay about $65/month. My record is spotless. Cost of Common Repairs: None. Being a WRX owner, the only common WRX problem would be the tranny/clutch. But, that's only for those stupid people who are dropping the clutch at every light or trying to drift it with the handbrake.
Legacy GT owners can chime in. Don't worry, I learned stick while driving my WRX off the dealership lot (Yes, it was pretty embarrassing).
