I'm shopping around for a new computer but I don't know which is the best option.

I thought about getting a laptop but I really don't need one and I'd rather have something at home with alot of speed and memory.

any suggestions?

depends on what you want to do with it...wait till dell does a good deal, or do one of the MIR deals at bb/cc/compusa

i just saw a lenovo with a 3800+ x2 (i think), 1gb ram, 250gb hd, 19" widescreen LCD, free upgrade to vista for $600 with 3-year warranty

^^^ What's your budget? If your looking to spend more than about $1000, you'll be better off building your own.

cmon wade, define what you want to do with it. You can get a crap level dell or the like that will run older game, go online, burn dvds ect jsut fine, or blow 8-9k on a god box. Do you need high end video? do you plan to edit dvd's? plya the newest games at high res? ect.
