ok, seems that when i have > 1/2 tank of gas it's off but < 1/2 tank it's on. Does make sense to anyone?

When it comes on take it to Advance and run it.

^^ i took it there and they said that it could be anything dealing with the fuel system. I replaced the fuel filter and it went off for ~2 weeks, but I also filled the tank up afterwards.

did they hook your car up to the diagnostic computer and pull the codes?

if you find out let me know, i had two with mysterious check engine lights

^if its the same problem they just know that its fuel related.

either a new gas cap or make sure that the gas cap is tight enough when you screw it back on.
