So i bought a new sound card today, it is a Creative SoundBlaster XFi-Xtreme Gamer......When i first installed it and the drivers it worked great, but after about an hour or so i plugged in my headset w/mic to play some WoW, and now i still get sound it is just very very faint. i got everything turned up to "11" (lol) but it is still extremely faint. anybody got a clue on how to slove this cause i am out of ideas. i even "re-installed" the drivers for it, and still nothing

the first problem is that you are playing world of warcraft

well does the headset have a volume control?

no, just a mute button for the mic, which isn't set

Headset normally has a different and independent volume control. Have you checked it?

^ Looking under you volume control and make sure you're showing all the options for all the various sound outputs. Headphone jack is normally an option.
