Some of you may remember the Wolfpack Loyalists.http://www.brentroad.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=393744 I want to thank all the committed members who helped make yesterday happen.

Without your dogged determination to rid the Wolfpack Nation of Herb Sendek this victory would have not been possible.

It's hard to believe that it was just one year ago when the effort began. No one thought the road would be easy or the results would come so quick.

It's fun to look back through this thread and realize how many detractors the Wolfpack Nation had to overcome to get us where we are today.

Quote :
"
I am starting a group called the Wolfpack Loyalists. The goal of the group is to reunite the Wolfpack Nation. This house has been divided for far too long and after seeing Bennerman's recent comments it makes me think our fan base is actually hurting the program.

We are never going to get anywhere by constantly bitching about players & coaches. We have to support our team & program, or we are going to continue to suck in every sport.

The first goal of the group is to take down Herb Sendek. This is not a thread to bitch about why he sucks, how badly he sucks, or how badly you'd like to punch him in the fucking face. This is not a thread to bash Sendek as a person, coach, or animal. This is a thread with the sole purpose of reuniting the Wolfpack Nation by ridding ourselves of the cancer that is Herb Sendek.

Please post serious ideas and we can decide a course of action.

I know UNC fans once hung Dean Smith in effigy after an embarrassing loss. I think this sounds like a great idea. I know we could get pictures of it in the student paper and probably N&O. I think an effigy of Herbert Sendek may be a big step in getting the Wolfpack Club to take us seriously and getting more media coverage.

I know a lot of people on here don't like me because all I have done for the past four years is bitch about Sendek, but this is not a time to let our personal interests get in the way. This is a time to unite and rid ourselves of Sendek before he destroys the universe. I know we are all sick and tired of being a complete joke. Many of us could have gone to real schools where they value winning and don't consistently shit their pants against rivals.

Please if you have any ideas or want to get started on this effigy (we need people capable of building one, people with ideas about where to do this, etc) let me know in this thread or via PM if you wish to be a silent supporter. "

man when you look through that 7 page thread you really appreciate yesterday even more.

NC State had so many detractors.

People just wanted us to lose on so many different levels. Even our own "fans"

First:

Second: I don't think anyone wanted us to continue to lose games. Ever. The only people I remember wishing losses on us were the anti-Herbs that wanted us to lose out to get him fired. I was pro-Herb while he was here, and I will be pro-Lowe while he is here. I honestly greatly appreciate what Sid got the boys to do yesterday, but I still can appreciate what Herb did for us for 10 years while the fans heckled the shit out of him. My hope is always for the program to rise, to grow, and to win.

We are still talking about Herb for the same reason that we still discuss Hitler.

History repeats itself.

As a Nation we must learn from the Herb experience so that we never get Sendeked again.

We wasted a lot of valuable time. The average human life span is less than 100 years and we spent 10 of those with Herb.

We as a nation can never get those years back but what we CAN do is learn so that we never make the mistake again

You have shown your loyalty to the program by being tough in the face of adversity.

Now remember, there will be haters along the way that we must fight off.

People will look for the opportunity to flame our new coach no matter how promising he may be.

When we score transition buckets, take under 30 threes in a game, or even look like a real program please do not throw this in their face.

This is a time to re-unite and rebuild the Wolfpack Nation. The Nation does not need more division as we attempt to move on from our 15 year doldrum."

Some of those same losers are still around, gritting their teeth at the product Lowe is putting on the floor. Lowe's team executed more backdoor cuts on Roy's team than Sendek's teams ever did. How about them apples.

"You will never have a chance in life until you learn to direct your focus. I dont start planning what toppings i want on my cheeseburger before i decide what restaraunt im goign to. What if i end up at Subway? Am i still going to want ketchup on my turkey sub? No you fucking pirate. No one likes ketchup on turkey and if you do like ketchup on turkey you are a sick fuck and should have no input as to who coaches our team anyway.

You guys are fucking sick, ketchup & turkey jesus. "

See this is a great example. Did anyone know what the fuck Sidney Lowe was doing before we hired him? No, of course not. For all we knew he could have been at home watching Springer re-runs passed out on the couch wearing ripped underwear with a tub of KFC chicken breasts in his lap.

You dont always have to have ALL the answers before you start making progress.

Bill Gates probably didnt know that in 2007 he'd be pussy whipped and throwing his money away to political leaders in Africa (under the guise of helping starving children) but that didnt stop him from starting Microsoft.

I bet if you asked him 30 years ago how many lbs of meat you'd be allowed to carry back to the wagon in Oregon Trail (100 lbs) he'd have absolutely no clue. Sure, he might arbitrarily pick 100 lbs because its a nice even number but that would just be a lucky guess.

Whats my point? My point is that you dont have to know the right answer just to be able to identify the WRONG answer. Herb was wrong. He was so fucking wrong. If you set up a 95% confidence interval he wouldnt even be in it. You could totally reject the hypothesis if you wanted to.

I'll agree with rallydurham that before Lowe, the UNC game was one thing to the coaching staff, and another thing to the fans. I was thrilled to see the red jacket come out for this game.

Don't get me wrong, we had a good coach before Lowe. But I think the added bonus of having alumni coach their alma maters is that they know which games mean more than a win or loss.

Yesterday was much more than another ACC game. It was the game that I, like so many other State (and even some Carolina fans) had circled on the calendar.

I got the feeling that the players had a different intensity this game than the home game last year (which actually I went to). And I think that the coaching staff helped shape that. With the emotion of the fanbase for this game, Lowe capitalized on that and the VT win to give us the edge.

This is not a troll thread by any means.

This is a historic thread.

The Wolfpack Loyalists were hated on from the beginning.

At our first meeting we could not even eat 100 cheeseburgers in a single sitting.

Today the nation is proud, unified, and hungry.

The Loyalists could devour cheeseburgers at an exponential rate.

But your children should know that in 2006 the nation was not much of a nation. It was more like Hong Kong before they got their independence. Except without all the little plastic toys like they make in Hong Kong.

If you're best friend was marrying a sucubus would you try to get him not to marry her? Of course.

Now what if he said "Gee, i know i shouldnt marry this fucking sucubus, but who should i marry instead?"

Would you fucking say "well you're right i have no idea who you should marry instead, might as well go ahead and marry this fucking sucubus. I mean at least you'll be married, right?!""

Another proud day for the Loyalists.

Herb is rollling in his grave right now.

Herb obviously wouldn't have beaten Duke because he never does.

He obviously wouldn't have made a comeback against UVA because he refused to break the slowdown mold when we're down.

And its pretty clear he would have blown the VT lead because thats his calling card.

Hw did "RallynDurham" get accepted to NCSU...I mean seriously....I was losing brain cells just reading his post......instead of griping about a coach who is currently employed by another school, lets appreciate what we have now, and the effort Sideny Lowe and our guys gave over the last four days in the ACC Tournament....

GREAT JOB SIDNEY....and I look forward to the '07-'08 NCSU squad.......thanks for the kick ass memories Engin....GO PAK!
