I won't forget this anytime soon.

We were expected to be dead last, anything better is a great start w/ old recruits + a new coach/system. Sure, we're gonna lose some more, but we've waited a LONGGGG time (b-ball and football) to beat UNC. It'll take a long while for State fans to not remember how great this weekend was.

That game was the first time in about 10 years that I've seen NC State come out with more intensity than UNC. The most frustrating thing in the world is to see your rival beat you because they want it more.

And that includes football, too.

if the team turns a corner, wins enough to go 8-8 in the acc... or even 9-7 (unlikely, but damn Lowe's making us dreamers again).... then that win looks pretty impressive around tournament time... and could potentially have an influence on this team's postseason chances...

Football team has more talent and senior players to help lead without injuries to crucial players.
Football team was supposed to be better then 3-9.


Basketball team was expected to come in last.
Basketball team was expected to get blown out.
Talent is still developing and recruits coming in will help.

Seriously, it was supposed to be a down year, I think everybody expected that we would be bad this year. I wasn't expecting a postseason this year, and if we don't make the postseason I'm not going to be torn up. If we do, that's awesome. But this is a win that we can enjoy all year.

Who gives a shit if we lose the next 6, we can talk about this one until 2008.

if we play well and finish with .500 in the reg. season
play well in the ACC tournament and win a few games
maybe finish in the middle of the acc, this win along with the tough win against michigan
and beating a #16 VT in the same week will give us a possible nod to the dance

they also look at injuries when picking teams and our big down stretch was with atsur out of the lineup and rotating players in that messed up the team chemistry some

with atsur back, this allows grant and fells to play their natural positions giving us an opportunity to really work the glass like what happened against VT and UNC

we played jimmy v style ball and i loved it
played our tempo, football mentality to the game and take them out of their game

I was elated, but there was no pwnting. we had to shoot over 70% in a half to win by 4.

The Defense, however, was great. They keep that up and there is no reason they cant beat anyone in this league on a regular basis.
