and asked me why i put 20w50 in it with engine restore. he said his mechanic makes the engine 'work that much harder etc'. i said dude stick with that that's what the previous guy put in and so that's what i put in (even though the prev guy put in 40 weight haha).

well he said he's gonna try to put 40 weight in. i've decided not to answer his phone calls anymore.. if he doesn't listen to me he's gonna be one pissed bitch when he spins a bearing or burns more oil than he can afford to keep in it

other than that he is happy with it.

also apparently the cd player broke he cant get the cd out i had in BHWHAHAH

oh yeah then he complained about the warped fly wheel that i already told him a bout *slap*

is it me or should there be a rule, once u buy something and everything is said and done i dont have to talk to the ppl anymore? would it be rude if i just dont fuckin answer seriously. i dont keep in contact with the guy i bought my bike from, once a deal is done it's done. the guy who bought my damn hawk just emailed me saying he wrecked it into a fence. gg. I really dont care .

/random post.

heavier than reccomended oil will only mask oil burning. it does make the engine and especially the oil pump work harder. while you may help the pressure out, it's at a loss of flow.

if you can deal with the smoke and/or checking the level frequently, it's really better to keep the reccomended weight in a motor.

let him call all he wants, once a sale is made in nc it's final. as long as you didn't mislead him on anything, i wouldn't have any problem ignoring his calls after you've informed him you were upfront and what the law is.

even if you did mislead him, morale issues aside, you have no legal obligation to do anything about it.

^yeah i really only did it bc i was too lazy to keep putting oil in/didnt like to leave smoke clouds everywhere. I told him the oil i ran and how much oil it burned honestly when i sold it to him. i even told him about the 2nd gear syncro grind when cold so he has nothing to be upset about. the cd player worked when i had it.

i just dont see the purpose in bothering someone after it's sold. when i was on the phone i was like.. seriously i dont want to bullshit talk about the truck dood but i didnt want to be a dick >_<

well his mechanic did say he got a good deal. and he is happy with the truck and already priced out putting a new engine in which didnt bother him. it wasnt a pissed off call, just an annoying call to answer. i answered bc i thought it was one of my lady friends then i was like FUCK bwhahha.

selling anything with a flaw you know about (which he just proved by this thread) and not informing the buyer of it is always against the law.

how did i break the law? i told him i would stick with 50 weight. that is what i used and it hasnt given me a problem. i told him he might spin a bearing if he puts 40 in. he's not mad about anything. the post was mainly to bitch about ppl who still try to call like ur their friend after u sell shit to them.

hell i was honest as could be about the truck. I even told him about a deer that ran into the side of it that left a lil ding in it that the previous owner told me about. also told him how the rear bumper was replaced by the prev. owner bc it rusted out. I didnt try to pull a fast on on anybody.

no i told him all the flaws the truck had. i told him it burned oil, and i told him i used 20w50, told him bout 2nd gear grind, told him bout warped flywheel prior to the sale.. gg though.

^read all the posts first noob. the only thing i didnt know was broken was the cd player, it wont eject but it did eject for me every time i used it.

if you buy a car w/ high miles, buyer beware, thats it. You can't expect to buy a used car and not have some problems w/ it. especially if its got over 100,000 miles

^^^^^short of the seller admitting it, that's basically impossible to prove in the private seller market.

When i sold my car, I had the guy sign a contract, saying that he had inspected the car and I wasn't responsible for any repairs henceforth.

bills of sale are not valid on vehicles in north carolina.

official notarized titles are the only legal way to transfer ownership.

the law clearly states vehicles are sold as is, and there is no grace period for a return.
