I don't think anyone is actually being serious.

I could care less right now about what happened last weekend. That high is long gone after this week...

I'm disappointed in the effort more than the result. I expected lots of Ls in the ACC this year. I didn't expect a team that plays with a lack of purpose in certain games.

^^^^I used to feel that way, but we weren't gonna get any better with Herb, and we should be better. Finishing just above the middle of the ACC and losing the second round of the tourney every single year isn't what I want our team to be forever.

The last 5 years were certainly way above mediocre. That said, I have no problem with our fans wanting more. But to say the last 5 years were mediocre is fucking stupid.

And that's the difference between people who come to college here and become fans from some place like Milford, CT versus people who have lived in this area for all of their lives and have been immersed since childhood in the bitter smack talk and rivalries that fuel this region.

I know that's a big assumption and you might not be that way at all, but a lot of people from outside this area don't necessarily understand how vehemently passionate basketball fans are in this area when it comes to rivalries. Especially people who aren't as familiar with history as in our case since we have not been up to par with those rival schools for far too long now.

Again I'm not trying to flame, that might not be the case for you, but a lot of NC State people would be ecstatic just to be beating our rivals again like we did in the 'glory days'.
