I kind of figured they were a temporary one album band anyway.

^why? I think you've heard pretty much all RATM has to offer in the albums that are already out there.

I don't see how audioslave could top their first effort

might as well go back to the original bands

Shadow on the Sun (i think that's the title) is a great song... and the one in Miami Vice is cool too.

Cornell's voice has gone to shit since Down on the Upside. 20 plus years of touring drinking smoking and just generally abusing it will do that to you. As much as I'd cream myself if Soundgarden got back together, his voice wouldn't be 1/10th as powerful as evidenced now in Audioslave's songs. Matt Cameron is with Pearl Jam anyway.

Twas fucking awesome while it lasted though.

I'd love to get Jack Irons back in Pearl Jam. That was my favorite incarnation of the band.

Yeah, I'd agree, but I want to see them play live. I missed my chance back in the day when Rage and WuTang played, and I've hated missing that show ever since.

All a part of my plan to get Soundgarden back together. Of course, I've been saying that since 1997, but what the hell.

Soundgarden at Lollapalooza in '92 was one hell of a show! They did a cover of Bodycount's "cop killer" that had walnut creek going nuts. That was the best lineup of that tour ever.

1992

Main Stage: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush, Temple of the Dog.

Side Stage: Jim Rose Circus, Sharkbait, Archie Bell, Porno for Pyros, Basehead, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Sweaty Nipples, Arson Garden, Seaweed, Seam, Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., The Look People, Stone Temple Pilots, Vulgar Boatmen, Truly, Skrew, Tribe, The Authority, Samba Hell, Rage Against the Machine, Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder
