I'm sure its all wishful thinking and rumors due to other recent reunions...has anyone heard anything substantial about this?

Who gives a fuck? Without Bonham, the drums will sound all wrong. The Who became boring as shit without Moon.

^his son is supposed to be badass....I heard he's the reason they started talking about getting back together in the first place.

just out of curiousity...how much would you people spend on zeppelin tickets. how much for first 5 rows and how much for like 20-30 rows back?

His son doesn't have the oomph. Not a bad drummer by any means, but nowhere near his father.

The only acceptable option would be Dave Grohl, and even then it's not really acceptable.

^^ i'd pay up to about 50 bucks a ticket to see Zep, but then, i'm cheap... i'm sure that any venue for Zepplin that isn't an outdoor amphitheater would jack the minimum tickets up to at least 75 before scalpers...

The ticket prices for their first show would be insane then everyone would find out they don't sound the same and then they'd go down.

shit, i'd save for months just to get one ticket, i'd pay up to 150 for one ticket, but i own all of their studio and the live albums so im kind of a die hard fan

And yet you don't seem to care that without Bonzo there is no LZ.

I can't see anyone handling drums well enough to make it like old Zep. I'm running through my list of great drummers, and a lot of them are amazing, but they don't have that inhuman element like JHB.

It's like replacing Hendrix with Malmsteen. All the technical skill in the world can't make up for some fuckcrazy inspiration.

Dave Grohl doesn't even compare with Bonham at all. He's not even close to being one of the best drummers out there right now. Nonone can ever replace Bonham because of his unique style of drumming but I think someone like Danny Carey or Neil Peart would be great for the tour.

I'd pay a $1000 plus my left testicle to see Zeppelin minus Bonham as long as they get an acceptable replacement.

^Without his vocal range the band will sound a lot less like the Zeppelin of the late 60s and 70s. Have you seen Plant solo? It doesn't mean I wouldn't go see them, but not for a damn grand a ticket.

Doesn't this rumor go around every other year or so? IF they did do a tour, I'd spend a grand, but that would include airfare, hotel, ticket and other entertainment because they sure as hell won't come anywhere near here other than maybe Atlanta and/or DC.

Paige is notorious for sounding shitty live.

It would be a waste of money.

Exactly.

No matter how much money you pour into a ticket, it's not going to make it 1970 again.

If Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd toured together, it would be as close to a license to print money as you could get outside of owning a casino in Vegas.

i don't know what y'all are talking about, but jason bonham is an excellent drummer! he's mostly done solo work, but he's played for foreigner and other bands too. he was on jimmy page's "outrider" album. he's probably most famous for his scene in "the song remains the same", drumming when he was like 5-years old. jason was also in that crappy vh1 show, "super group", and he was the drummer in the movie, "rockstar" (zakk wylde was in the band too).

jason bonham is the only person right to replace his father. i'd kill to see the new zeppelin!
