They don't sell those ones with ephedra anymore, but is pseudo-ephedra any better? What are the best ones in your opinion when used with diet and exercise or whatever the label recommends? What is the difference between diet pills and those energy pills like yellowjackets? Thanks...doing some research! 2/21/2007 3:30:55 PM |

I said with!! But they have all these things out that claim to enhance fat burning in the body, etc. I'm not talking about the late-night TV infomercials, but the stuff they sell at GNC! 2/21/2007 3:35:09 PM |

infomercial shit = gnc
seriously, if you eat well and exercise and still aren't losing weight. talk to your doctor. there is no magic pill.
please take some nutrition classes while you're at state. it's worth it and the class isn't that difficult.

From Dictionary.com... lush–(noun): 1. drunkard; alcoholic; sot. 2. intoxicating liquor. –verb (used without object) 3. to drink liquor. –verb (used with object) 4. to drink (liquor). (i.e. obnoxious)

caffeine is an upper, which has a side effect of appetite suppression.
Ephedra is a more potent upper
ritalin will also have a similar effect as ephedra, but it's "safe" 2/21/2007 3:57:55 PM |

true, but there are plenty of things that you could take that would enhance your workouts (ie: let you go longer with more intensity)
and don't say bullshit until you try it- go to the gym for a week without taking anything
then go for a week taking ephedrine before every trip- guaranteed you will feel the difference. The shit worked, it just got banned because people were abusing it (using that logic, they should ban caffiene too)2/21/2007 6:58:09 PM |
WtchyWmn All American 1551 Posts user info edit post |
that too, but then again if that were the only reason we wouldn't have liquid plumber or batteries on the market either 2/21/2007 6:58:36 PM |
Biofreak70 All American 33197 Posts user info edit post |
i think it was stupid to take it off the market- it just happened because it was a supplement and not a drug, and there were several big lawsuits
most of those "late night" things you see get in trouble all the time, but they make so much money, they can just pay it off (even if it is a 25 million dollar fine), and change one little thing about their marketing or formula and do it all over again
but ephedra, if used correctly, is perfectly safe and very effective 2/21/2007 7:19:18 PM |

^^ yeah, i used ephedra for years and had no problems. It was my substitute for sleep when i was a fulltime student, partying hard, and running a business.
the people that would get heart attacks already had poor cardiovascular health, just like the people that died after taking vioxx.
people who were generally healthy had no issues. 2/21/2007 8:57:23 PM |

That Hoodia crap is supposed to be really good but you wanna make sure it is 100% pure and the pill has at least 400mg of Hoodia in it. It isn't that cheap and it is supposedly better than ephedra with no side effects because it is natural. It is a plant that grows in South Africa and they have regulated the export of it kinda like their diamonds so that they get all the profits from the Hoodia plant. 2/22/2007 2:35:23 AM |

Pseudo-ephedra won't work because you need the e-c-a stack's balance. I forget the ratio, but you can make your own with the ephedrine extract pills, some caffiene and a baby aspirin. Do NOT take them, or any diet pill, before working out. Your best bet is to work out in the morning, then take you pills and ride out the day. Also, don't take them after maybe 5 pm or you'll be up all night.
Real hoodia DOES work - African tribesmen have been using it for century to cure their hunger when they go on long hunting trips. However, it's hard to find the right dosage that will actually work since most companies only have to put a little in to say it's a Hoodia pill.
Taking a pill alone isn't going to do anything. If you don't change how you eat and work out, it's pointless. But seriously, no one should be bashing her for asking, ESPECIALLY guys. What do you think all your little GNC supplements, creatine and protein powders have in them?
Hypocrites.
Let the girl get some pills, she kinda needs them. 2/22/2007 7:47:40 AM |

Whats you're reasoning behind that, because most diet pills/stimulants suggest taking it 30 min before working out.2/22/2007 11:05:34 AM |
