I"m getting a bike within the next 45 days, and its been a while since I"ve done any riding. What would you guys recommend as a "refresher" bike to get me back into the groove of riding?

what was your prior experience. a friend that rode/raced mini bikes when he was a kid thought that qualified him for an r6 as his first street bike. poor r6

how long ago was a while? sv650s' are great refresher bikes. But if you have common sense and feel comfortable riding when you did ride, go for what you like. Go to a few dealerships and test fit on a few new and used bikes to get a feel of the comfort and riding position and go from there. Pretty much most modern 600's are very similar with minor detail differences. How tall and how much do you weigh?

I"m 6'1" and weigh 207lbs. My last bike was a ninja that I rode a lot in texas. most recent bike experience has been here in iraq on dirt bikes and a few confiscated "street" bikes (the bikes here are nothing compared to the bikes in the states).

Thats an awsome list, lol. I loved my F4i, it was my first bike, first time riding, never even sat on a bike before. Great performer, but physically too small of a bike for me. 6'5" 210lbs. Now I am on a 929 and definately a lot more comfortable to me.
