Thome had claimed they would have to tear off his tribe uniform, that he wanted to play his whole career in cleveland. but when it came time to vote with his wallet, he took the money because philly offered an extra year. Not to mention he refused a trade when we tried to get prospects for him the previous summer. The Indians were actively shopping him during the season because his agent and Thome said they would not negotiate a contract until after the season. I'll admit he did some good things in the community in Cleveland but then took a dump on all of that when it was money time. I didn't hate it that much at first when he went to the phillies, but when he went to the chisox he entered Ron Parkman status. dude deserved every boo he got.
