"The History of New America Part I: The Beach Party at the Threshold of Hell" is an independent film created by a group of people, some of whom are North Carolina (Raleigh specifically) natives. At least one of the filmmakers graduated from NC State.

Some of the cast and crew are in town this weekend for the film's North Carolina premiere at the Carolina Theater in Durham at the Nevermore Film Fest.

It is being shown tonight at 7:00 and tomorrow at 4:45 with a Q&A with the filmmakers after both screenings.
