She has announced that she is going to do something tonight for the ESPN Florida vs. Tennessee game that will trump what Bruce Pearl the mens basketball coach did for the womens game earlier this year.

FYI, Bruce Pearl was shirtless, with chest paint on while cheering crazy as hell in the front row of the student section.

What in the hell is she going to do? Fist all females at center court? She is a former cheerleader, so that could be something.

It seems like the media dogged Pearl for doing what he did but if it generates interests for his program I can't blame. I think it is surprising that Pat Summitt would do something for the men's game since she is the top dog at Tennessee these days. She doesn't need the media attention as much as Pearl does.

Yeah, it was really gay that people got onto Pearl for doing that. From what I saw the media was pretty much split 50/50 on liking it/hating it but I see most of that just being stodgy old fucks who are against anything new and original. I fucking loved it, hes actually brought passion to a program that has had all the building blocks in place for years ($$, facilities, fan base, good conference etc) but just lacked any real drive.

And with him it was probably wasnt even a publicity/attention thing, he just really gets into shit hardcore and was probably genuinely excited and was just having fun, hell I've seen him drinking his ass off tailgating before football games, he is just a fun guy but I think he was also showing respect to Summitt at the same time.

I am really suprised she is returning the gesture, shes a pretty serious, hardcore woman. I really couldnt care less about womens bball, bores the shit out of me. Sure I cheer for them, especially against UCONN because I hate Geno, but it doesnt really affect my life at all but I do totally respect her for being a fucking badass in her field of work. Her record will be retarded by the time she retires, I think shes at something like 900-100 overall.

Sure, she has an impressive win total, but she amassed a lot of those before most people knew that women's basketball existed. It's good that she can still be very competitive, but there still is a lot of parity in women's bball compared to men's.

What in the hell are you talking about? Pearl is winning. They swept Florida last year and got a #2 seed and were ranked most of the year. This year with Lofton they are almost a top 10 team. They are #11 in the RPI. Hell Chuck had us ranked a whole season what one year? I cannot believe you compared the two. Also doesn't Bruce have the highest active winning percentage among D-1 coaches?
