I love that story, and that is a lot of the reason why I love college basketball. Forde couldn't have said it better.

Also, this story shows why sports DO matter. They're not just sports. They affect our lives in a profound way.

When did you get it. I know it was there about 2 years or so ago. I was stupid for not buying it. Haven't seen it there since. If they have any copies there still, I may have to drop by the bookstore when I come up to Raleigh for St. Patrick's Day.

Quote :
"And that razor-thin margin between being famous and being forgotten illustrates the beauty of March Madness. It begins with the conference tournaments, where every team starts over with a chance. Every dream is in play.

You must be defeated on the court. No computer and no group of voters will eliminate you from title contention. It can be done only by another team, head-to-head on a 94-by-50 rectangle, until only one team remains.

And the last team standing has never been more unlikely than the 1983 North Carolina State Wolfpack. "

truth.

CMON WOLFPACK! LETS KICK SOME MOTHERFUCKING ASS IN THE ACC TOURNEY!

I'm betting on the 15000 to 1 odds that we win the national championship.
