I'm looking for some folks with guns that want to go shooting one day/afternoon/weekend.

I'm looking at sometime possibly the week/weekend after spring break, so if anyone is interested in coming or starting their own range trip, post here or PM me. (Pics of sexy guns are welcome too.)

^sure, just make sure that you're familiar with the basics of firearm safety - you'll have to take a safety test before you can shoot at a range.

btw, If anyone has or knows someone who has land around here that's suitable for shooting on, that's even better.

Lee-Enfield No1Mk3 - British service rifle from WW1/WW2 era. Ammo isn't cheap, so it sees only limited time at the fun range.

I noticed some mention of shotguns above so I thought I'd throw in this link. I'd love to go shoot, but I just don't have time. Deep River is a great place to go spend a nice afternoon. It's comprable to the cost of a round of golf and they offer sporting clays and 5-stand. coronakid and I used to frequent this place regularly when we were in school. However they do not offer anything for the marksman, strictly wingshooters. The pro shop is also an Orvis outlet, so they have some fairly high end Berettas for sale if you're interested in $4k shotguns.

Deep River? Are you talking about the Wildlife Club in Sanford? Be careful, they have strict rules about bringing over guests. One time, I went with a bunch of friends, and some vice-president of the club or something kicked us out. They only allow guests who are family only, no friends. Just a heads up if you are going to shoot there.

Alright, I'm back from break but here's the rundown -

We've got a lot of interest here, and assuming most of those interested are able to show up on one day, we'll definitely be needing some private land, or at the very least, a decent range outdoors (I'm fairly sure an indoor range isn't suitable with more than 5-6 people. It's not as fun, I do know that).

If you have property that is suitable for such an event, post a definite offer to let us use it and give some exact dates or at least a fairly specific timeframe that you could accomodate everyone. If you have a place and don't mind folks using it, then we'll just work around your schedule.

I know this might not work for everyone at once, but I'd like to make this a semi-regular thing if I can. so post away guys and I'll go from there.
