I need some assistance getting into Skype chat logs without using Skype to view them. Initial searching online led me to this:

Unfortunately I can not make the application work... it does not launch even after modifying the config file.

Due to the urgency of needing the information in these files... and my inability to find another option online just yet... I am posting this for any help. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

if it's so urgent, what's the problem with installing skype, if only temporarily

it is a company related issue with a system someone had in our network containing Skype... if it were as easy as installing Skype - believe me I would have taken that route from the start

Short of divulging more sensitive information than I would like to... I simply can not use Skype to get into the file I have.

situation is resolved... never did get all the data out of the files - but got enough...... hell of a day
