God damn that's a GORGEOUS compact car... guess what it is?
TATA, the Indian company. This model is called ELEGANTE.
Looks totally Italian, like an Alfa Romeo or a Guiguiaro. A lot of Alfa on that car: headlights (i think), side mirrors, roof line, wheels... but hey, looks great, and very upscale, unlike any Jap compact car.

i think that price is highly competitive.

mehh not that many...
i was just thinking i could build a car thats better for me for less money... yeah it won't be factory but shit... for 25k ontop of a legacy gt spec b i could have a 10k rpm cosworth motor and a 75lb/min turbo along with all supporting drivetrain mods from ppg gears to driveshafts and axles.
i dunno i'm looking more for a fucking fast car than something to be seen in that cost alot of money.
hahaha maybe an hpa audi s3 ( its gotta be coming )

most probably true... but i bet the skyline will come close, if not very close, in performance numbers.
^^ maybe they will introduce a NA skyline after the TT one, with like 350 hp or so. that should be reasonably fast.
if you want a tuner car, there are lots out there... don't know which ones come to the US, though. 3/6/2007 10:20:00 PM |

i imagine it will be close in everything but straight line acceleration. there are some VERY impressive real world 1/4 mile numbers out there from stock c6 zo6's. a guy on corvetteforum has one deep into the 10's with just drag radials.
not to mention the blue devil will be coming out soon.
it was hard enough to beat bang for your buck with the c5 performance wise, the c6 is taking it even further. as a viper fan i hate to say it, but i think they've about knocked it out of the way in that category.
the shelby is proving to be pretty impressive and really tuneable on the cheap also despite its weight.

its a ford....
i hate to say it but ford is the most tuner friendly company out there... i mean for the 05 mustang they released the ems software to the public early so that they could learn to tune them before the car was even on the market. so.... slap on a a pulley re-program your STOCK computer. and weeeehooooo....
not to mention the numbers the turbo guys are getting with an intake, new cams and a turbo setup... i mean 1k-1200hp is cake once you don't have to worry about throwing a belt and get that added VE 3/7/2007 7:09:53 AM |

Cadillac to build V12 sedan based on Sixteen concept
600 hp, 540 lb-ft Caddy to come, to fight with the AMG Benzes!
Quote : | "General Motors product boss Robert Lutz has confirmed plans to build a V12 sedan, likely based on the popular Cadillac Sixteen coupe car. The luxury sedan will compete with the Mercedes S-Class and Lexus LS, according to Lutz.
Mr. Lutz said in an interview while visiting England that development is underway by Holden in Australia for the new V12 powerplant that will be used in the range-topping model.
The new V12 is essentially two 60-degree 3.6-liter V6 engines mated to a common crankshaft, according to AutoWeek magazine. Like the 1000 hp V16 Sixteen concept, the V12 Caddy will feature direct injection, cylinder deactivation, and an advanced automatic gearbox to provide reasonable fuel economy and efficiency.
Holden has reportedly built early test mule prototypes on its rear-wheel-drive Zeta platform, which underpins the new Chevy Camaro and Pontiac G8. However, the chassis might only serve as a test bed for the engine.
The engine will have 7.2 liters of displacement with 600 horsepower and 540 pound-feet of torque. It's not known if GM plans to offer lesser versions of the sedan with V8 powerplants, as Mercedes does with its S-Class. In 2003, Lutz said he wanted to develop a Cadillac luxury sedan with three models: V8, a high-performance V8 and a V12." |

GM denies V12 Cadillac super sedan rumors
Quote : | "Last week, a report by AutoWeek magazine claimed General Motors had approved development of a Cadillac sedan designed to tackle the Mercedes S-Class. The report said testing of a new V12 engine for the car was "well underway" by Holden in Australia. GM product planner Bob Lutz and Holden's engineering boss have both flatly denied the report.
"It’s definitely not happening," executive director of engineering Tony Hyde told Australia's GoAuto. The AutoWeek report claimed GM vice chairman Bob Lutz stated in an interview that development had already begun at Holden for a 7.2-liter V12 made from two 3.6-liter V6s joined at the crankshaft.
"We are definitely not doing it," Hyde said. “It might be possible to join two V6s, but we are not doing it. None exist in our part of the world and we are certainly not testing anything like that at Lang Lang."
"We are not working on any Cadillacs," he continued. "Nothing. We’re full-up in terms of resources with Camaro and our own cars. The G8 is a challenge from a timing point of view."
Lutz denies
In an email response to a member of the GMInsideNews chat forums, Lutz also denied the report.
"Sadly, that article was about 90 percent pure invention," Lutz said. "We have kicked off no such program."
Baseless rumors?
It's not known how AutoWeek could make an error of this magnitude. The report was based around a purported interview with Lutz at the opening of a dealership in Europe. While Lutz may have commented on a super sedan project, it appears he didn't state anything near what the magazine claims.
The report also cited "sources" within Holden that were adamant about the Australian firm's involvement in the project.
In December, AutoWeek claimed Ford was developing sedan and station wagon versions of the popular Mustang for the 2011 model year. After the report was published, Ford was inundated with hate mail from Mustang fans. This prompted Ford to take the unusual step of issuing a press release denying the baseless rumors." |

2009 Ford Flex
Wow, this is gorgeous! Of course they call it that bullshit "crossover", but this is a true classic American station wagon, reinvented!
3.5 l V6 260 hp
It has a gorgeous contemporary interior, and will come with a lot of neat features:
Quote : | "Flex is set apart from other vehicles thanks to a long list of surprising features. They include:
Class-exclusive refrigerator, mounted between the second-row captain’s chairs. Unlike competitors’ systems that merely keep cold beverages cool, the Flex’s available compressor-driven refrigerator can cool up to seven 12-ounce cans, four half-liter bottles or two 20-ounce bottles from room temperature to 41 degrees in just more than two-and-one-half hours. That’s 40 percent faster than a standard home refrigerator.
Multi-Panel Vista Roof™. It not only brightens the interior, it gives Flex occupants seated in each row their own special skylight.
Second-row, best-in-class legroom, including class-exclusive adjustable and removable footrests. The Flex’s second-row seats fold and tumble to provide access to the third-row and fold flat into the floor for added cargo space. An available one-touch system folds and tumbles the second row.
Seven-color programmable ambient lighting. Flex owners can choose interior lighting to fit their mood. With this feature – which also is being introduced on the 2008 Ford Focus – customers use a dashboard switch to change the lighting on two LEDs mounted on the front console, two on the footwells and two around the cupholders.
Ford Sync™, Ford’s industry-exclusive, voice-activated hands-free in-car communications and entertainment system. This available system fully integrates mobile phones and digital media players into the vehicle. The Sync in-car communications system was developed in collaboration with Microsoft and will be offered exclusively on Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles later this year.
Ford’s next-generation navigation system, featuring voice recognition technology and more than 150 hours of music storage. Users can browse the music jukebox via touch-screen or by using voice recognition. They can also create custom play lists and burn CDs for storage on the system’s hard drive. The system also integrates the climate control and SIRIUS Satellite Radio into one easy-to-use, smudge-resistant, 8-inch touch-screen display. Premium AM/FM/MP3 audio systems also are available with a six-CD changer, auxiliary jack to accommodate MP3 players and the latest generation DVD entertainment system with a large 8-inch, drop-down screen.
Ford’s exclusive second-generation door-entry keypad . Housed within the vehicle’s black B pillars, the flat-panel, backlit keypad eliminates the need for door-mounted buttons and gives customers the ability to unlock doors, disarm the alarm system and disable the auto-lock function by entering a five-digit code.
