Also, wake sucks at FT shooting. We could put our scrubs in and tell them not to worry about fouls. We get the added bonus of stopping the clock and resting ourselves.

Watching VT, its clear to see why we match up. Their forwards really aren't that good, while Wakes will attack and put pressure on us. Costner owns Vasaillo. Also, gordon and dowdell are good at their own scoring but not at setting up their frontcourt.

regardless of all that:

when you go 5-11 in the ACC regular season and still manage to make the semifinals with either of your opponents being a team you already swept in the regular season, ya cant complain at all . The odds of that actually happening are rediculous.
