Eastern Kentucky over North Carolina.

I'm not putting it in my bracket, but that would be the biggest first-round NCAA upset if it happened.

Realistically, I've not made my bracket yet, but I like Davidson over Maryland.

I think Winthrop could upset Notre Dame in the first round. I can also see an upset with Davidson over Maryland too. I think the biggest one will be George Washington beating Vanderbilt.

i believe i have VT and Wash St to lose in first round, couple other ones, but they arent big upsets (8/9's or 7/10's)

I think the past 6 years, a 12 seed has beaten a 5, so either Arkansas, Long Beach St., Illinois (like some have said), and Old Dominion has a shot to advance.

I would agree with you about Illinois, but I just cant see where they handily beat a strong team this year. Michigan and Indiana are both overrated. While I do agree that Va Tech is slumping, they have shown way more potential and their late season losses have come to hot ACC teams.

I think VT are a team that will flop out early. They're the type of team that plays to the level of their opponent and that kills you in the first round of this tournament, especially when you're the dreaded 5-seed. With all due respect to...ourselves, there's no reason they should sweep UNC 2-0, and then lose to us 3 times.

I am really hoping for a VCU upset over Duke. They just have to have a mildly competent traditional post player and an athletic guard to work duke. Just defend the 3 and force pussy McRoberts to try to score in the post.
