and i didn't count the play-in game with reason, because I don't consider this recent add-on as part of the tournament, even if the NCAA does - it's great publicity for the two squads who get to play in Dayton in front of a national audience, but it's called the 'play-in game' for a reason, meaning the winner plays his way into the tournament and a butchery at the hands of a #1 - I did mention Tuesday night in the original post, as you can plainly see

If by 'All these threads suck', you mean 'they don't have pretty colors or a few generic sentences laying out information that every State fan already knows at the outset of the thread', then you're absolutely right. After no time at all on Thursday, nobody is going to remember what the first page of a thread like this looked like.

He does a good job being timely with the State threads, and apparently they provided for some pretty good luck down the stretch, but this isn't a State thread, and you can't lay out 65 teams's records at the start of this thread either, so give me a break

i think the bottom half of the west bracket might be the weakest 8-team 'pod' in the entire tournament between UCLA, Pitt, Duke, etc - it's really wide open, I even think Gonzaga could put something together and come out of that group to meet Kansas (or Southern Illinois)

The big 12 is usually a terrible conference, which hurts kansas come this time of year.

It's still not a great conference, but there are some tough teams in it this year, so I think that will help kansas a lot.
