i'm doing a photo shoot for a hip-hop artist on saturday afternoon, and need some suggestions for urban-decay style shooting locations downtown. if you know of any good graffiti'd spots, or interesting architecture, or all of the above, i appreciate any spots you can share. his style is kinda like older nas mixed with the gorillaz (non-radio-play). thank you

if you want raleigh, go down West Street, going out of downtown, or down whitaker miller, to Carson, down to pershing, theres a burned out warehouse over there that looks straight out of detroit.

or check out the edge of downtown by south saunders street and lenoir.

theres a lot behind 'the office' that has a lot of old architecture around it, on a railroad track, and if i remember correctly, theres some graffiti around...theres also a nice vantage of the raleigh skyline around there too.

yeah, there are some wannabe crips around the gorman crossings area. i've seen their graffiti all over the place. i even came up on three of them chalking the sidewalk when i was riding a bike. motherfuckers were all in my way and shit.
