Sullivan kind of sucked, fire alarms all the time, slow elevators, a lot of stairs. Bragaw was pretty fun as far as dorms ago. I don’t think it had its own comp lab, but it was close enough to other buildings that it wasn’t an issue and it wasn’t far from fountain…if that counts as a positive? I like how close Metcalf was to classes, and it was great over the summer, but too small to really be enjoyable for long stays. UT was nice with its proximity to Hillsborough street and to some classes but there was always broken glass, vomit filled elevators, smoke filled stairwells, and generally unruliness that made things difficult for the times when you needed to hunker down and get serious before a test. I’m sure there are better dorms out there, but I think Bragaw was probably my favorite of the ones I experienced.

Yes, Watauga, which no one seems to be able to spell, is very good.

I stayed there for 2 years.

You are close to all the engineering buildings, but far from Fountain. However, you can eat at the new dining hall, and are allowed to have lunch at that dining hall for athletes.

I stayed in Becton basement for two years before getting an apartment. It was really nice; the hall was just big enough so that we all got to know one another, so we kinda sorta had our own mini-community. There was a computer lab in the building right across the courtyard, so if you needed access to the university system it was just a small stroll away. It's also right behind Clark, which I can tell you beyond all doubt is vastly superior to Fountain. Being on the east end of campus, it's not nearly as close to the engineering buildings as the tri-towers are, but it would only take me 10 minutes tops to walk to class from there. Being in the basement also makes it hella easy to move your stuff in and out since there's no stairs to climb.

i liked carroll personnally... and there's girls too lol
lived there for my first two years
right in the middle of everything and decent rooms, etc
biggest downside besides some of the obvious rules was the dang fire drills at randomly inconvenient times

doesn't come close to livin off campus though

thanks, as i have been out of ncsu for 4+ years now. broughton is the long building on the downhill part, i remember now. i used to be a TA there for MA 131.

yeah i used to be based at daniels and that took me 5-7 minutes to walk to, and broughton is only 30 seconds from daniels!

i am the fucking king of getting to places by walking...i shit u not...i take the long way to everything....it takes about 15 minutes to get from nelson to mcfluffles birthday party...it takes like 5 minutes from the brickyard to get to poe, it takes like 3 minutes from nelson to harrelson...takes like 4 minutes from nelson to broughton...takes about 5 minutes to get from mcfluffles bday party to mann

dont know how all this compares to others though cause its all "IMO, IRRC"
