he is expected to still coach. cause of death hasn't been released yet.

thats terrible. I'd like to know how old she was and if this was expected or not. I'd have to say it wasn't a huge shock if he's still coaching tonight. I know its the NCAA tournament but its the 16 v 1 game.

espn's article was all hidden and shit. the n&o article is just as ambiguous and short. i think maybe roy wanted it this way, so as to minimize the attention.

Roy Williams is My second favorite ACC coach, even though I am a huge state fan (SID #1). I hope he manages to still spend some time with his family during this loss. Although, for me it was much easier to stay busy.

yea, I mean, I constantly wish ill upon their basketball team (bad losses, mild injuries, etc) but never death of a family member or anything like that. I feel sorry for ol' Roy, its gotta be tough

Roy Williams is pretty old.

(The announcers said she was at an assisted living facility. Maybe she was sick in some way. I dunno.)

she was his older sister, and she was suffering from alzheimer's.
