The east regional is in Bobcats Arena in Charlotte for next year's NCAA mens tourney.

I just "bought" my 4 tickets for this - $142 a piece plus some additional $9 fee. They're doing a lottery for distribution, though, so you don't find out until June 1, 2007, if you won. The games are on March 27 and 29, 2008.

Anybody else going to try to score tickets? I thought it was threadworthy, since you can get them directly through the bobcats box office, instead of going through a booster club.

do they take the ~$604 out of your account for months and months even if you dont win the "lottery" to get the tickets?

i'll look into my options as a bobcats season ticket holder first

^yes. they will refund my $604 on June 1 if I don't win the lotto.

Maybe this is Bob Johnson's idea to save the franchise....millions in interest free loans (for three months.

I don't understand why people go unless they know their team is there. You see 4 games and miss 15?

its a regional

not a first/second round

so you only miss like 2 or 3 games

can you go on the web anywhere and order them, or do you have to call the Charlotte Bobcats ticket office?

Found out today that I "won" the lottery. I wonder how many people applied.

The Bobcats Arena is also host for the ACC Tournament next year. So that means UNC if they have the type of year that they are expecting, could not leave the state of North Carolina until the Final Four.

ACC Tournament - Bobcats Arena
NCAA 1st & 2nd Round - RBC Center
NCAA East Regional - Bobcats Arena
Final Four - San Antonio

This is standard practice for events with national/global ticket interest. They do it for the World Cup, too.
