More info and pictures have been released on this beast. Looks like it'll have closer to 700hp while still maintaining that 1100lb curb weight. Production while begin this summer.

from the pics, the rear tires look to be.. not adequate for 500-700hp

Here's a picture of the rear to give you an idea of the rear tire size. According to RSportsCars.com the tire sizes F/R are 250/640 R18 / 290/680 R18. So they're not quite as big as most modern day super car tires but they are by no means small.

Top Gear hated it. They said it was almost totally unusable off of the track. Apparently it's impossible to steer at normal speeds because the car weighs so little and has so much power that it needs the down force generated at speed to keep the tires on the road. Under steers like a bitch.

It might be road legal, but it's not road usable. If you're just going to run it on the track then buy an F-1 car, it'd probably be cheaper.
