My laptop's time is always incorrect after a restart. Windows XP is my operating system. I searched tww and google and couldn't find an easy explanation. Does anyone know how to correct this problem? Many thanks...

ok, is it always reset to the same time? or a certain deviation from the actual time? Have you ran HijackThis or anything else? Is it set to autosync?

Also, make sure it's set to correct for daylight savings time.

My work computer was skipping an hour at least 3 times a day after DST changed. I would correct it and it would be fast with in an hour. I finally cut off the automatic check for DST and that fixed the problem.
