I'm considering the distance version of this class for Fall.

For those who have taken the distance ed class, honestly, what is it like? Is it straight-forward?

the dvd lectures suck cause the teacher is one of those teachers that likes to hear herself talk and think shes smarter than she is

she is also kinda racist in my opinion...she makes fun of the way a chinese person talks...also hates the term "undocumented workers", she even wrote on a test

she talks about "illegal aliens" in one of the lectures(only watched like 2...probably more)- when i saw her chinese comments i almost wondered how she had not got in trouble for saying that- i mean they were recorded in like 2002 so the videos have been used for like 5 years now

i met her on campus once...she was a total bitch to me, but of course its not like i can just talk to one of her superiors...i was in a rush to get to the bookstore before i went to my class so i could have the book for class and i told her this and she chastized me so long that i ended up just having to go to my class without the book...i made it clear i was in a rush and had to go from NELSON to BILTMORE

if you get the book, make sure you get the cd with it, it has quizzes and all the definitions on it

i've only watched 2 of the dvd's because i could not stomach watching her teach, and i've done "decent" on all the exams- depending on how hard your workload is u should do pretty good, i could have done better on my exams but they are always scheduled(gotta go to mckimmon btw) near like 3 other tests or a shitload of other work i gotta do

she does offer almost a letter grade of extra credit, if you like spending like 100 bucks on a letter grade

any other questions just let me know

there are 2 application exercises that are easy as shit, but what sucks is its nothing but busy work...takes probably about 2 or 3 hours to do each one but its fucking pretty pointless(i guess its a freshman level class or something, idk) but I'm just trying to get my minor so i took it

^^^i'd take bus 340 over bus 330

but 330 prolly would help u more in life as far as management goes, where as 340 is more technology related and less business

Really? How'd you do in the class? Curious cuz shes teaching it in the fall, albeit at 8:30 on T/Th, but if she's relatively good, I'll consider it. Apparently BUS 330 has the reputation for attracting some godawful professors, at least from what the reviews say.

best professor i've had at state is Dr. Washington..he teaches one of the on campus sections...he's awesome
