I'm nominating the Beach Boys' one-two punch of "Disney Girls (1957)" and "Student Demonstration Time."

The former is probably the most forgettable love song ever written and is a Bruce Johnston throwaway wedged on to a Beach Boys record, and the latter is a Mike Love piece of shit (a ham-handed "political" one at that) with god-awful production. They both do an excellent job of ruining Surf's Up, an album with a few damn good Carl Wilson songs ("Feel Flows," "Long Promised Road") and a pair of Brian Wilson gems ("'Til I Die" and "Surf's Up").

(And yes, the consistency with which the Beach Boys placed absolutely fucking brilliant music alongside banal, mindless shit has always bothered me.)
