might as well start one up since no one else has

I know that there are a couple more Indians fans on here, so we should have our own thread

Our lineup looks good again this year, Hafner and Sizemore are in the AL MVP race...biggest question mark is the pitching (for the 2346th year in a row). As long as everyone stays healthy we should turn a few heads this year - at least we arent picked/cursed to go to the World Series.

Here's to winning our first two games of the year IN CHICAGO

Fuck Yeah! GO TRIBE! we're gonna have to slug our way through the season, but they just may be able to do it.

I plan on hitting up a few games this summer. Nothing beats 95 though. Had season tickets and it was by far one of the best summers of my life.

I was at The Jake back in 1994, during their inaugural season, for a doubleheader against the yankees

I've been to a few games since then, but that day always sticks out in my mind

but on a bad note, our bullpen (namely Roberto Hernandez) just blew the game for us against the ChiSox. It was a 3-3 tie, Hernandez comes in, gives up two, no out hits - putting runners on 1st and 2nd. Then he goes to pick off the runner at 2nd, throws the ball away, runners advance to 2nd and 3rd, still no outs. He intentionally walks Iguchi to load the bases for Peirzynski, then he fucking HITS PIERZYNSKI, which drives in a run, and the Sox win 4-3

un-fucking-believable way to lose a game

I finally got to see a game at Jacobs Field last season. I must say it was light years better than Cleveland Municipal Stadium even though I got to see Nolan Ryan's last visit to Cleveland there.

Either way, I guess it doesn't matter seeing how the Angel's series has now been moved to Milwaukee. I guess the snow will eventually go away so they can start playing at home.

big win for the tribe tonight got a 7-6 win over the angels. desperately need a new closer had a 7-3 lead going into the 8th and almost gave it all up. also had an error which makes 2 through 5 games. hopefully this is not the beginning of an error filled season like last year.

3 run homer by Pronk to pull out the series with the Angels. We definitely look like a playoff team this year as long as the pitching stays healthy.

4 runs in the top of the 9th today get the victory.
We've got the bats but the pitching has to get better for us to stand any chance. Westbrook got soft since we gave him that extension and Sowers looks like he is gonna get shelled every time he takes the mound. I have a feeling we'll be seeing Adam Miller in the next month or so to help shore up the back end of the rotation.

Go Tribe!

If the Indians were a national league team, they would be pretty much playoff bound for sure....

i dont know our pitching is pretty awful. got a big series with the twins and could end up in first place in the central if we win both.

^,^^ have you both gone mad? He's won 15 games for us the past two years and 14 games in 2004 when he was an all-star. The guy is a solid #3 starter and his stats are comparable to Charlie Nagy in the 90's.

Tribe wins in 12 last night. Sowers pitched better but still gives me an uneasy feeling.

Tonight's matchup:
Carmona vs Santana

When you are consistenly healthy (which is not a bad thing) and play for a club that puts a lot of runs on the board, it's inevitable that you're going to get wins. While he (Westbrook) may be reliable, he can contribute most of those wins to our offense putting up great numbers while he manages to get by with a 4.50 ERA and about 4-5 K's per 9 innings, which are two statistics that paint a better picture of the pitcher's quality than the number of wins he gets.

Look at somebody like Scott Kazmir, who only has had 10 wins a year over the last two years with the low-scoring Devil Rays, but also has averaged an ERA of 3.50 and about 9-10 K's per 9 innings.

Solid #3 starter, yes, but for the past few years he was supposed to be our second ace behind Sabathia, especially with the money he's getting paid now.

Heading up to C Town in couple weeks to see my grandma and some buddies. Definitely catching a game while I'm there. And while the Jake is better for baseball, nothing beats Municipal Stadium for Browns games.

4 in a row! pitching struggled last night even thought they struck out 19. CC pitched ok but got beat up a little. very encouraged we still won though and we got some clutch hitting in the 11th.

CC deserved the decision last night. I don't think he pitched great, but we had a 6 run lead in the 6th inning and that should be enough for any pitcher to get the win. Our team chemistry seems really high right now. All the guys look like they are having fun and you can tell they all really like each other. Hopefully we can keep up this 2 of 3 pace we're on and 90-100 games this year. We've got birdie goin tonight and he is usually $$$ at home.

woohooo, we are 1.5 games ahead of the Twins and Tigers (3.5 games up on the ChiSox)

I'm just hoping we can keep this roll of good hitting and pitching going through this 10-game semi-west coast swing coming up starting on Friday
