The entire year. Walk the mother fucker every time he comes to bat, no matter what. That piece of shit does not deserve to break the HR record. That would be fucking awesome if this were to happen. Imagine how pissed of he would be.

Personally I hope he hits 1,000 homeruns.

It would be the final nail in the coffin of a shitty sport.

Just throw him fastballs down the middle, let him break the record and retire and get this media shit-storm over with.

Thats not the point. They should not pitch to him because he does not deserve to break Hanks record. It has nothing to do with being hardasses or pussies. And the non pussy move in this situation would actually to be to just walk his ass every fucking time he comes to the plate and give him no opportunity to break the record.

I say just walk everyone so the majority of players that used steroids can't get stats.

regardless of the steroids he took... the guy has the best mechanics and fastest batswing i have ever seen. It's kinda unreal...and NO steroids do not help those aspects, they help power the ball, especially when he takes it to the other field, as opposed to pulling it.

I'll admit, its fun watching him bat

it would be great if he got within 1 of tying Hank and everyone walked him for the rest of the season. MLB should organize that and set up a fine for anyone who pitches to him.

Steroids have a lot less to do with the success of a baseball player than say, a football player like Shawn Merriman. If anything, they improve recovery time and that is the biggest advantage as a player ages. Bonds is a HOFer with or without performance enhancers. I don't like him but I'm amazed that his hand speed is pretty much back completely at his age. Bonds turning on a fastball is one of the prettier things to see in all of sports.

That said, the day A-Rod breaks Bonds record will be celebrated.

Yeah, you are totally right. Being stronger has nothing to do with being able to swing a bat faster!

^^ it actually doesnt.. they would help you drive the bat harder once you make contact, but not help you make the bat swing faster.. Just like the stronger you are, doesn't neccessarily mean you have quicker punches

Bonds was the best player in baseball before he roided. You people drooling over McGwire and Sosa's roid-aided home run show (and MLB choosing to turn a blind eye) prompted the roid use.

It's silly to single Bonds out because he was more successful than the other guys on roids.

^^ That is ridiculous. Greater strength creates greater bat speed, which in turn creates a further hit ball. The ball does not weigh so much that it slows the bat down, to which it would matter if you're strong enough to follow through. The boxing comparison is completely irrelevant.

^ I would imagine most people that think Bonds should be in the HOF would agree than McGuire and Sosa shouldn't be there either, myself included

^^Who the hell are you to we still drool over McGwire & Sosa? It wasn't known that McGwire was juicing at the time. If it was, myself & pretty much everyone else would have had a very different view of the HR chase. Last time I checked, McGwire wasn't selected into the Hall of Fame & has pretty much been scorned from society.

So to say that we only dissaprove of Bonds juicing is moronic. Maybe we single him out because he is an asshole.

I would like to note that I am probably one of the biggest Cardinal fans on here along with Woodfoot and wolfAApack and I did not even like McGwire to begin with, but he was obviously doing something wrong. Look at his comments when asked by Congress. As for Sosa, where has he been since testing became the norm? Once steroids became an issue, Sosa disappeared. Hell Sosa got caught using cork so you know he will do anything to get an edge.

Fuck all cheaters no matter who they are. McGwire was a great guy that people loved, but if he cheated he needs an * too.

Jim Rome pointed out the greatest evidence that is almost proof he has roided. He has grown like a full shoe size and his head grew something like half an inch in his late 30s. So yeah, most normal peoples ENTIRE bodies don't grow when they are nearing 40.

Wouldn't the greatest proof that he used steroids be that he admitted to using them?

he wasnt caught using amphetamines, they were found in his locker...and then he blamed it on some teammate that had his locker next to his...and the bonds apologists were just like "welp i guess they werent his"

I love how he says "I have never KNOWINGLY taken steroids"

Thats just some bullshit. You know he most likely just told his trainer to give him "whatever" it takes to make him bigger and stronger. Now he didn't KNOWINGLY take steroids, but he took them.
