This is entirely too early to decide such things as seeding. I hope people don't get their hopes up too high, because we don't know how our PG will work out and we don't know if Hickson will be as good in the ACC as he was in high school. I am looking forward to next year as much as the next NCSU fan, but lets not let blow our load yet.

I think Andy Katz was more accurate, because I think we will be a high teens, low 20's ranked team. (Assuming our PG works out and bench depth can carry some points and time). #2 seed is just realistically too high, although I would love it to come true.

This guy has forgotten more basketball than you will ever know. He gets almost all 65 teams right at the end of the year and has a pretty good handle on NCAA caliber teams.

It doesn't matter what makes more money, it only matters what your school's heritage is. Besides, did Duke, Georgetown, Gonzaga, Illinois, or UConn become successful in basketball because of their football prowess? Hell, that does not even include schools like UNC, Kentucky, Indiana, Kansas (all places where football is clearly a distant second). Did Louisville become a basketball powerhouse because of the work Smith and Petrino put into building their football reputation or was it the hiring of Rick Pitino as basketball coach?
