WebAssign is currently looking for 8-10 people (recent graduates, graduate students, and teachers) who have knowledge of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, or Statistics, as well as basic computer and HTML skills, and who are interested in part-time or full-time work coding textbook questions into WebAssign as well as testing coded questions.
There are many new books which need to be ready for use in the Fall, so we are looking for people to work over the Summer (or sooner!) between 15-40 hours/week.
The current wage for question coding is 10 - 15$/hr. Testers are paid on a per-question basis, to be determined at hire time.
WebAssign is currently looking for:
Mathematics coders and testers Statistics coders and testers Physics coders and testers Chemistry testers
Hours are flexible and we are willing to train!

I did this during my senior year (physics, chem, bio questions). It was a pretty sweet setup--I just went in when I wanted to, grabbed my current assignment, and went to town.

not only do they still use webassign the questions do not change much from what I've observed.

Naww, they are super flexible. I think people are there from like 8 am to 8 pm, so anytime in between. Im leaving when i graduate, so ya'll will be getting my job. It's an alrirght place to work, if you dont mind cubicle work. They really want you to work 15 hours a week, and probably will require at least that (though, some weeks I only do 8 when im swamped with school, they probably get pissed). It's pretty good pay for relatively easy work, so long as you can do math. (or whatever topic you're hired for) 4/10/2007 8:02:20 PM |
