i use my signal to move into a turning lane but once i'm in it, especially if the light is red, i turn the signal off. everyone knows you're gonna turn and it's annoying to sit there and listen to while you're stopped at the light

i use my turn signals everywhere....on the freeway, hell even when i make a right turn. i get pissed off at people who don't. if i see someone on the freeway trying to get over and they don't have their turn signal on, i will block them. if someone has their turn signal on waiting to get over and there is no room, i will normally slow down and let them in (unless they are darting all over the place trying to get ahead of everyone).

False. I have gotten over numerous times BECAUSE of my turn signal. This morning, in the parking lot of 40, some nice gentleman let me in. I had my blinker on, and then made eye contact.

i use them when i'm passing or turning in a straight/turn lane. if i'm in a right hand or left hand only turn lane, it's pretty obvious what i'm going to do so i don't even bother. i think they make me look silly.
