Because their fanbase is largely the same (eh hem) types of (eh hem) people that also root for UNC and the Yankees. Its poppy. It sells jerseys like crazy. I cant even begin to count the "typical Durham ubranites" that I know of who rock their UNC, Cowboys, and Yankees wear every day. The same three teams in the rotation all year long.... All of them have at least one home/away TO jersey if not an urban cammo compliment to that.

Why? Cause the rest of (eh hem) their boys are also doing it. The only team in the country that the fanbase would embrace a figure like TO so well.

I apologize to any cowboys fans who are from Texas or have a real, legitimate reason for liking them other than "they are americas team". The rest of us should be glad there is a salary cap in the NFL otherwise the Redskins and the Cowboys would dominate (for much the same reason).

My statement did not say you have to be from Texas to like them and left it open ended as to real, legitimate reasons for liking them just as long as you arent a bandwagon fan who likes them because they are "americas team". Again, I apologize to all of you true cowboys fans because I know the first parts of my statements about the bandwagon and urban cammo TO jerseys all over the hood would push buttons. I have been an Oakland A's fan since the late 80's and I still am a huge one (I have lived in NC my whole life). The Braves and the Cowboys each shared the title "americas team" at some point in time (blame ted turner) so that not a good comparison.

I hate UNC, the Yankees, and the Lakers...but the day I was born and uncle of mine gave me a cowboys rug that is in my room to this day and have always been a big fan.

I was a hardcore fan UNTIL:
1. The Panthers came to Charlotte
2. Emmitt Smith signed with the Arizona Cardinals
3. The Cowboys hired Parcels and Owens in the same year
