tada...
http://www.renegadehybrids.com/

chevy powered porsches (including 914!).

or... a few other cars hooking up a chevy to a porsche (transaxle)
Factory five gtm

Ultima GTR

DDR Sp4- mclaren f1 replica...

I'm sure there's a billion others, but ^those are my favorites...

of course, there's also the "non-kit" manufacturers attempting to go longitudinal chevy,
Arash Cars (you know, the guy who named the Farboud after his last name and then sold Farboud and decided to name another car company after his first name.)
http://www.arashcars.com

And the Galmer Arbitrage... which uses a "Gearfox" porsche-style transaxle... although more purpose built for mid-mounting v8s...

I drove the Supra for a year but then it started rod knocking horribly. I sold it to Carmax for $250, which is pretty sweet considering I bought it for $200. 7M motors are shit, they spin bearings all the time. I daily drive the n/a Rx-7, and I have an Rx-7 Turbo as well--hence my wastegate threads recently...

I was just pointing out that someone with an N/A 944 talking about a swap is no different than the ton of n/a Supra kids I meet with big plans to do a turbo swap and never do, or the highschool kid with a POS 240sx who is getting an SR20 "real soon."
