There is a "consensus" that not only is the US due for a bid but Chicago, as a city, is due, too. Chicago has never hosted the Olympics.

atlanta is a huge city that had all kinds of infrastructure like massive public transportation, hotels, and restaurants to accommodate for the huge crowds of the olympics. not to mention the money to get it done as well.

and raleigh is, well, a huge turd with none of that.

btw i know you were kidding, but what the hell

^ And yet the city is still incapable of selling out a Braves playoff game.

haha holy shit. Fucking Raleigh will never host the Olympics. Jesus Christ I hope you are joking.

^Of course we cant. After 14years of the playoffs and being let down all but one year, you eventually just don't care. Sure they sold out the first couple of years, but after awhile, you just get used to making the playoffs and it doesnt mean as much.

no...atlanta, for some reason, is just a poor pro sports team...if i lived there you'd better believe i'd be a taking in as many hawks/falcons games as possible

GG Chi-town! I'd love to try to go to see that shit in my former hometown.

Raleigh hosted the Olympics...

The Falcons have no problem filling the seats.

No, Atlanta truly is a horrid sports town.

Back before '02, in the pre-Vick years, the Falcons were consistently among the worst teams in the league annually when it came to attendance, which i think is the main reason Arthur Blank and Co. are so insistent on sticking with him

the Braves still can't draw flies after 14 division titles, the Thrashers have never found their way out of the bottom ten in the NHL's attendance records in any year of their existence - but in Atlanta's defense, the Hawks have been garbage now for longer than anyone cares to remember

the Olympics import fans from worldwide, so none of that local embarrassment matters

hopefully Chicago gets the bid
