I work in RTP and am about to purchase a home, and I really like the idea of living in Morrisville. Seems like a good investment, but stuff is already getting so expensive, its making me a little nervous! Where about are you and maybe you can give me some suggestions on places or new construction areas.
Right now I've looked at some decently priced pre-owned homes in Breckenridge for about $150k, but I'm also looking at some new construction homes (Legacy at Carpenter Center) but they are going for $170k+ and I'm not sure if I should spend that much. 4/16/2007 11:59:27 AM |

Nope. Maybe you can show me some of these since they aren't showing up in my search.

Nothing really in this thread relating to what I'm asking. Really just looking for people on TWW that actually live out there to let me know what its like and what they recommend. Any help would be great!

I really like the area, but the houses there I liked were out of my price range. I work in RTP too and just bought a place off of Mineral Springs which should be done in 2 months. I live in Cary now and have friends/family that live/work in Morrisville.

I was in Morrisville around 2001 and had a chance to buy that two story brick house on Davis Dr. for $114,000. It's the one that is about .5 mile north of Morrisville Carpenter just past all the new shopping areas. Something tells me that if I had made that purchase I'd be looking forward to putting a couple hundred thousand dollars in the bank right now. 4/16/2007 3:21:25 PM |

^ Wow, try not to think about that because you will definitely kick yourself. The value of place around Morrisville has gone up an unreal amount over the last couple of years. 4/16/2007 3:30:23 PM |

I really liked morrisville too when I was working in RTP. I got a job at UNC tho, so I opted for Durham...not too far from UNC but a skip from RTP in case I get a job there one day. 4/23/2007 4:50:37 PM |
