Anyone have experience with or heard any of these in person? I think I will ultimately go with a false floor in my jeep and utilize a couple of 10s or 12s in this role. I am not concerned with the best sound quality possible, just something that is on par with the 10w3 I have been using for 5+ years. 4/16/2007 12:55:00 PM |

Pioneer, JL, Rockford Fosgate, Infinity, Blaupunkt, they are all making them now. I have heard good things about most thin subs. 4/16/2007 7:42:39 PM |

I've had bad experience with blaupunkt subwoofers, blowing out, but they have a very good customer service department and replace subs pretty fast. Even if you end up blowing 3 in a row in a span of 8 months. I haven't had any personal experience with the thin woofers though. 4/16/2007 8:47:38 PM |

Not available until 3q07 and I imagine they'll be priced at 200+ a sub, if not worse. For a non competitor cruising down the highway like myself, I won't be able to perceive that extra $130-260 worth of difference in a JL over these subs. If they were avail now and closer to $100, I'd probably definitely go with JL. 4/17/2007 10:02:11 AM |

I glassed an ed sq10 into my spare tire in my honda over spring break. it doesnt sound bad and puts out a good amount of bass for a small little thing. The reason why it is not very loud in my case is that it is 1 speaker firing downward and it is in my trunk behind the seats and under a plywood floor

jl has some of the best sq of any sub i've heard they never get too boomy or loose sounding and i've heard some in some pretty poor enclosures. 4/17/2007 3:46:06 PM |
