whether basketball or football games, i think sporting venues would be a great opportunity to show support even in the upcoming months that NC State cares and has compasion for VT's loss

ofcourse not cheer for VT to win the game, but sporting events are the biggest thing to bring schools together

anyway it would be a nice gesture

have the players wear black armbands with VT on them

let the crowd take a moment of silence

other than that, let it go

^^agreed, the last thing they probably want is to be reminded of it when they have a fleeting moment of release.

i wonder how many times the announcers will applaud the athletes and students for finding the courage to compete and support the team

I want to show solidarity with any school, especially sister-school, who suffers a tragedy like that. Look at how closely knit we are as a community and imagine how we would be affected.

Have a moment of silence, maybe wear armbands... then go back to making fun of Marcus Vick.

^^*agreed*

And which is really classless... making fun of the clap, or getting it in the first place.

It was sad and I agree but its a sporting event. Unless a player from the team died or someone close to each team I wouldn't bend over backwards to be to nice to them. What are you going to say to them?? I would let VT decide what they want to be done at their own home games. The chanting of the guys name isn't funny at all. the other jokes about chris paul or about McCants was funny and harmless.

best thing we could do for VT in games against them is to shut down all the douchebags

you know the ones i'm talking about, i'm talking abotu the guy who's going to have a 6 foot picture of Cho and hold it up during the game, that guy gets a beatdown immediately. i'm talking about the guy who tries to start the "you got shot" chant during the game, that guy gets a beatdown too...

that's the best thing we could do, make sure that the asshats out there are silenced...

gameday could be unbearable to watch this year

it was bad enough having to watch the depressing stories about matt leinart having to wear glasses as a kid.

just think what they'll do with this

will people forget? no

will people care enough to make some sweeping (but altogether pointless) gesture? doubtful
