The NFL guards its image very carefully and takes its contracts with sponsors/official partners very seriously. Players and the Union know the rules and requirements. No sympathy for Urlacher.

Now, with the fine, they have gotten TONS more pub than they did by him just wearing the hat. They most likely intended for this to happen. Great marketing idea if they did.
