Today was (is) the last day of the regular season. Once all the west coast games get finished the matchups will be available...I predict the Pistons will beat the Mavs in the Finals and Cuban will sell them and buy the Chicago Cubs...but anyway, here's a thread for us who will watch the NBA Playoffs, regardless that the entire league plays zero defense and travels so much that cross overs have become a thing of the past since nobody even dribbles anymore

^your seedings are off i believe...if top seeds win its 1-4 and 2-3...but cant that change if a couple lower seeds win just so the highest seed plays the lowest speed? or is that just some idea i heard? are my seedings right? for some reason i thought it was a little bit more flexible of a bracket than march madness, for example

Yeah my matchups were messed up

That was a fuckup

Its 1/8 plays 4/5 and 2/7 plays 3/6

Unlike the NFL, it is a 'hard bracket' that doesn't give the higher seeds the worst team remaining

Home court is always determined by best record tho, not seeding

Schedule out already, they don't fuck around

Im gonna switch to the Nets over the Raptors in the first round in 6

Raptors first time in playoffs in a long time and VC will play like it matters to stick it to his old team

and Kidd will have about 3 triple doubles in the series

A lot of you have confidence that Miami can turn that so-called switch on it appears.

The Western Conference is back to way better than the East. Here's what I will say:

Detroit in 6
Cleveland in 7 (AGAIN)
New Jersey in 7
Chicago in 7

Dallas in 5
Phoenix in 6
San Antonio in 5
Houston in 7

Detroit over New Jersey in 6
Cleveland over Chicago in 6

Houston over Dallas in 7
Phoenix over San Antonio in 6

Detroit over Cleveland in 6
Phoenix over Houston in 6

Phoenix over Detroit in 7

Nash MVP proves haters wrong. Probably a little bias in my predictions there but I think with a fully healthy Amare they are going to be tough.

I dont think it will be as competitive as recent years series between the two.

Kobe has really played great in the last few weeks, but by doing so he has essentially regressed the cohesion of the team, something that will be needed in a series against the Suns. This will be over in 4 games, 5 games tops.

Suns will dominate this series.

in the playoffs, phil jackson always changes something about the team to make them look completely different and to throw the opponents off a bit

I wouldnt be suprised to see the lakers get one of the first two games

with KOBE on your team you always have a shot

I put $50 on Cleveland to win the East at the beginning of the season at 6:1 odds.

Getting the #2 seed last night was HUGE!

Now they get an easy series against Washington (w/o Buler & Arenas)

Then a cozy matchup against Toronto or NJ

Then a tired Detroit (no depth) or a banged up Miami in the Finals.

Had the Bulls not lost the Cavs would have had to go through Miami round 1, Detroit round 2, then Chicago/Toronto Round three.... That would have been impossible.

If it wasnt for the gay ass way the Pistons picked up Webber I think Cleveland would be considered the favorites to win the East.

Even with Webber the Cavs still have a decent shot. Definitely worth 6:1 odds.

So do GS and Denver really have a chance of winning 4?

I believe they do, GS is just a bad match up for Dallas. I believe the Spurs will win, but it may go 7 games.

Are you fucking serious?
Wow---where are all the Dirk haters coming from? I mean really----

GO MAVS---how can you not respect a team that 65+ games this year? At least they decided to play during the regular season. The only other team that I am OK with winning it all is the Suns...

If I could physically glue Dirk's feet to the block, he's dominate. He is still too Euro (relies on that fade jumper----though usually it is money). I'd rather see him go to the rack...*much like the dunk after he got his previous shot blocked*

Doesn't seem like we run a lot of the same sets as the Pistons. The piston players are individually way more skilled than any of our players, so they can take their guys one on one.
