^^ playing overseas probably helped engin's game evolve

and you don't know that if he didn't play, he wouldn't have been injured

^^No, he didn't injure it there exactly. BUT, he admitted his body kind of wore out, which increased the injury risk & severity.

yeah, he had that bone spur thing at the beginning of the year, remember? It's cool to get invited, but i'd say no thanks, just ask all those NBAer's who complained all season about bball year round...

well, i'd say that engin's game markedly improved between his junior and senior year. i wouldn't be surprised if international ball didn't have a lot to do with it. and for someone like atsur who's going to end up playing international ball anyway, him doing it seems like a no-brainer.

nba players are another story altogether.

^Some of that I think came from his needing to step up and do the job right. I think he really took to the need. Not that I think the additional playing didn't help. And I would never expect someone to not take such an offer for playing over the summer.

looks like Costner didn't make the squad...

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=2937067

Quote :
"This meant that Washington's Jon Brockman, Wisconsin's Brian Butch, N.C. State's Brandon Costner, Alabama's Richard Hendrix, LSU's Tasmin Mitchell and Saint Joseph's Ahmad Nivins didn't make the cut. Butch and Brockman were said to have had their best practices of the five on Saturday but that didn't do enough in the decision process, according to multiple sources. Costner played well on day one but wasn't able to differentiate himself the rest of the weekend."

Sounds like the Costner from the McD AA game. A shame that that fag Thompson from UNC made it over him.

You asserted that all people who talk like blacks are thugs, which is preposterous.
I asserted that a UNC player sucks cock, which is more than likely.

Did you have a point somewhere?

I'm pretty sure he asserted that all people who talk like thugs are thugs. Since, you know, that's what he posted.

It might be a good thing that he didn't make the team. Guys that play competitively all through the summer often burn out over the course of the season, either physically or mentally.

Tudor actually does a good job on this one.

Some interesting quotes from Costner on the upcomming season:

Quote :
""I can't wait to get going. None of us can," he said. "I think the sky's going to be the limit for us, I really do.""

and

Quote :
""The new guys are going to help a lot," he said. "I've played with them a lot this summer, and I think they're going make a difference. [Point-guard recruit] Javi Gonzalez is the real thing."

^^so they make a big ass deal about the dunk and give lil mention to the fact that they lost.

usual NC State exposure

PS- Damon Thornton's dunk over the Maryland player from back in the day was way better.

That dunk over atsur was still badass, though. European guys need to learn how to get out of the way of being hurdled.

well duh, it's ESPN. they do have a national audience. what do you think most viewers are going to care more about? an over-the-defender dunk or a game where unranked ncstate beats unranked georgia tech. no conspiracy here
