i would guess noone on this board rode one of these bikes, let alone all three of them. so all you will be getting is a subjective opinion as far as which bike looks better mixed up with some brand preferences.

btw, you already made up your mind.

it may be changed though, i rode an 06 st1300 with taller risers for a damn comfortable riding position today, and its back up for grabs again

the new concours is up way up there in the price range >$13k and would be a major investment for something i havent ridden, and i don't like the old zx10 based engines, so pre-07 is out, i only like the 04 fjr1300, the newer ones have a bad seating position and a stiffer suspension, so ~$7,500, and the st1300's are perfect from 03 up, but with a price tag of around $8,200 for and 03 and 10k+ for 04 and up.

i've ridden an older fjr before, and really liked it. lots of balls for such a big/heavy bike too. it seemed to be a perfect mix of sport and cruiser. imo, most sport cruisers are really biased torwards the cruiser side.

i've ridden a fairly new fjr, its not a bad bike, very nimble if you consider how damn big it is, very respectable power and delivery, the only thing that threw me off was the fact that its a 5 speed instead of a 6. very comfortable also

^ expensive, hard to find, and looks uncomfortable as all holy hell, and a 125 hp 68 ft/lb three cylinder 500 pond liter bike is way too underpowered for what i'm lookin for

the fjr weighs 522 lbs, 145 hp, and 93 ft/lbs torque, but my uncles bone stock fjr 1300 with a d&d muffler dynoed at 153 hp, 98ft/lbs

the st1300 is just slightly behind that in power, but is a much heavier, more stable bike

oh wellz worth a thought. that st1300 sounds like a beast.

hey why do u need so much power ? i tend to have the most fun on the lower powered bikes, like sv650s

^ only a guy with a small penis who still sucks off his mom's tit would rag on a sv650. they are awesome bikes. it's even better when ur puttin along on ur bike through the curvies and one hands u ur ass.

you probz dont even own a bike and you probz can't even ride the sv the way it's supposed to be ridden. you just gimply compared spec sheets "75 hp EW THAT'S SLOW".

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

69, u pretty much have ur mind made up. get the yami, it seems u'd be happiest with that. also once u get it. i'd love to see how badly it hands my lil 600 it's ass while im all hunched over and ur just smokin a cig cruisin along yelling ur favorite tune over ur loud speaker.

My dad has a 2003 FJR1300 that he's had since July '02. He's put over 90k on it and it's still going strong - and that was the first year they released it (in the states for sure, dunno about Europe they get everything before us), so you'll be pleased if that's the one you want cause it's definitely gonna last

Call it a strange coincidence, but they are damn good bikes and just because they aren't supersport doesn't mean they are automatically girly bikes.

Oh, you're so dead wrong. If you've ever had ridden one of them, you'd reconsider. It may not have a powerful top end, but it's got more than enough torque to school 600's in the curves. My co-worker, at the age of 56, has 4 bikes and he has a 05 sv650s that he uses as a dedicated track bike and constantly passes 95% of the 600's at VIR.

They are a very forgiving bike because of their smooth continuous power band. Even very experienced riders learn a lot on a "girls bike". Shit, you can always get a 250cc bike and tout that around. They do have racing leagues for 250, 500cc bikes and I bet you that people who start out in those leagues could overtake 600's as long as there isn't a big enough straightaways for those 600's to use their top end power.

Taking what to heart, Retardfj40s only seems to care about the size of other guys cocks, and Hanya wants to defend her bike as a boys bike evne though the only people who ride the sucker are girls. Retardfj40s is the one who brought up any sorta penis size crap to bein with.

Im not saying they arent fast, im just saying A DUDE CANT RIDE AN SV650 AND NOT LOOK LIKE A CHICK DOING IT.

A damned bike that looked like your mother could go light speed but that dosnt mean i would put it between my legs and go for a ride.

I think that looks alone are a stupid reason to not like something and to say that other people shouldn't like it as well... Not everybody has the same tastes and most reasonable people will not argue that something is for girls or boys based solely on their interpretation of the looks. I like the SV better naked, but I'm not going to call someone a girly man for riding one with the curvy fairing.

Its the same deal with miatas. I don't understand how people get hung on a stance like that.

i like the sv better naked too.

im only stating the obvious by calling ur cock small. u are only interested when it comes to looks with bikes and impressing others, thus u have no penis. ur lucky i gave u 2 inches.

retardfj40s whew that's creative.

my magna gets about 30mpg now with half the power of dad's concours which gets 54, and has a 7 gallon tank, which equals 1 fuel stop for every 3 of mine, pisses me off ridin with a bunch of sport touring bikes and having to stop every 80-90 miles for fuel, but another reason iam considering the st, is that its something different, a few of the guys i ride have fjr's, st1300's are a little more rare, and more easily modified due to honda's computer chips and open code

the 04 st1300 is rated at 125hp 98 ft/lbs, which can easily be bumped to 150hp 115 ft/lbs for >$1000

the fjr can be reasonably modded to 153 hp 98 ft lbs

compare that to an 04 R1 for gods sake, 180 hp @10,500rpm, 81 ft/lbs of torque on a bike that weighs 60 lbs less than the other two, and i won't even mention that a zx10 concours, a 600 pound bike will dominate an R6, much less after 1400 miles of riding in three days

the point is, i am not looking for a crotch rocket, or an old man touring bike, neither are practical for me, i know what type of bike i want, i'm just trying to compare the pros and cons of the 03-04 st1300 and the 04 fjr 1300, and they are damn near even

either one will be a huge step up from my 80 hp magna, and a huge handling and mileage advantage

after talking to a lot of owners and reading reviews, it seems like the fjr has a lot less small problems and the electrical shit is more reliable, which is a god send when riding in the rain orsnow inthe backwoods of west virginia, and its also a little cheaper than the honda, which seems to be an availability type thing to me, not a quality one
